Jonna Lehtinen

Jonna Lehtinen has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Jonna began their career as a Ski Instructor at Riihivuori Ski Resort in 1998 and later worked as a Business Journalist at Taloussanomat. In 2001, they held roles as a Communication Assistant at the Finnish Institute in France and a Press Officer at the Ministry of Education and Culture.

In 2002, Jonna Lehtinen joined Bestform Industrial Design Consultancy as a Member of the Board. Jonna also started their tenure at Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, where they served as an EU R&D Adviser and later as a Senior Adviser in EU Affairs and as the Head of Tekes' Brussels Office.

From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Policy Officer at the European Commission before transitioning to a Senior Adviser role at Tekes, focusing on Growth Companies. In 2014, they joined the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment as the Head of Development.

In 2018, Jonna Lehtinen joined the Permanent Representation of Finland to the EU as a Counsellor, where they remained until July 2021. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in development, EU affairs, policy, communication, and business journalism.

Jonna Lehtinen completed their Global Leader Graduate Diploma in Management from Aalto Executive Education in 2013. Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Arts degree at the University of Jyväskylä from 1994 to 2000, with a focus on corporate communication, economics, and political sciences. In 1998, they also studied journalism at the University of Bordeaux III. Earlier in their educational journey, they spent time at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where they studied Spanish starting in 1993.
