Stefan Li

Stefan Li currently serves as the CTO at Type.ai, a position held since November 2022. Prior to this, Stefan founded Active Recall in July 2019, developing a flashcard and note-taking system focused on spaced repetition for lifelong learners. Previous experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Facebook from November 2017 to December 2018, where responsibilities involved leading Android development for Instagram's business messaging tools. Earlier roles include a combined product and engineering position at Recovery Record, co-founding SourceViews, and serving as Lead Engineer for the Walmart Android team, where team growth was achieved from 1 to over 10 developers. Other notable positions include work as a Senior Software Engineer at Sony Mobile Communications and various contractor roles at TAT AB and Sony Ericsson Research. Stefan's educational background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, completed in 2006.
