Jun Zhou

Jun Zhou is a Co-Founder at Typewriter Therapeutics, Inc., focusing on developing a novel genome engineering platform for therapeutics, supported by RA Capital and AN Ventures since June 2023. Previously, as Associate Director at Foundation Medicine, a Roche Company, from February 2021 to May 2023, Jun Zhou contributed to NGS-based cancer genomic profiling and regulatory approval processes for various platforms. Jun Zhou has also served as Associate Director and Head of Biology at Genturi, leading R&D efforts in nanofluidic genome mapping technology, and held senior roles at Sage Science, Inc., and QIAGEN, where significant advancements in DNA sample preparation, sequencing technology, and assay development were achieved. Jun Zhou began the academic career as a Teaching Fellow and later as a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University, specializing in molecular genetics and evolutionary biology. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nanjing University.
