Pablo Bueno Tomás

Pablo Bueno Tomás graduated with a Master’s in Civil Engineering from the UPM in Madrid and later completed an Executive Management Programme at the IESE. He began his engineering career at TYPSA Group in 1987, working in design and construction supervision in Spain and in the Middle East. He is now TYPSA Group President and CEO, as well as Chairman of the Board. He has served as President of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), Vice President of the European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations (EFCA) and President of the Spanish Forum for Excellence in Engineering (FIDEX). He is currently President of TECNIBERIA (Spanish Association of Engineering, Consulting and Technological Service Companies), Member of the Executive Committee of FIDEX and Member of the Governing Body of the CICCP (Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers). He is also an executive member of AETOS (Spanish Tunnels and Underground Works Association) and a patron of the Agustín de Betancourt Foundation. In 2015 he was awarded the CICCP Medal of Honour and was voted Best European CEO by ACE (UK Association for Consultancy and Engineering). He is currently President of the CICCP Infrastructure Committee.
