Johann Kriek

Johann Kriek currently serves as the Vice President of Technology and AI at Tyr Energy, Inc., a position held since October 2025. Prior to this role, Johann was the Director of IT at United Energy Corporation from May 2021 to October 2025, where responsibilities included leading enterprise IT strategies across multiple subsidiaries and overseeing a major IT overhaul for a coal plant acquisition. Johann's earlier experience includes serving as a Computer Systems Engineer at Rainbow Energy Marketing Corporation from June 2011 to May 2021, where custom software and automation solutions were developed to enhance energy market participation and operational efficiency. Johann holds a B.A.Sc. in Electronic Systems Engineering from the University of Regina, completed in 2012.
