Vesa Karttunen has extensive experience in the field of automotive product support and GPS technology. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Automotive Product Support at u-blox since October 2012, Vesa leads the Automotive Product Support Team. Previously, Vesa was a Principal Application Engineer focused on Automotive Dead Reckoning applications. As a co-founder and VP of Tracking Products at Fastrax Oy from June 1999 to September 2012, Vesa developed GPS navigation firmware for multiple generations of iTrax receivers. Earlier in Vesa's career, Vesa worked as a Project Manager for GPS Software at Vaisala Oyj, where Vesa developed the first-generation DGPS solution for codeless GPS radiosondes. Vesa holds a Master of Science degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Helsinki, attained between 1980 and 1987.
