Aki Barber

Aki Barber is an experienced industrial designer with a strong background in both design and education. Currently serving as Lead Industrial Designer at U Brands since February 2019, Aki also held the title of Senior Industrial Designer in the same company. Prior experience includes a role as Wood Shop Monitor at the Rhode Island School of Design, where Aki assisted students with projects and ensured safety in the workshop. Aki's professional journey includes positions as Junior Industrial Designer at RCd, an intern at Kohler Co., and a graphic design intern at the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, where promotional materials were developed. Additionally, Aki worked as Lead Instructor at iD Tech Camps and as a photography intern at Domenick Guillemont. Aki earned a degree in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, complemented by educational experiences at Brown University.
