Jeanette Normand

Jeanette Normand, LEED GA, is a Foreign Service Officer at USAID, serving as the Regional Environment Adviser for El Salvador, Central America, and Mexico since September 2012. In this role, Jeanette oversees environmental compliance and climate risk management for over $380 million in development assistance while advancing U.S. government climate objectives. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Planner and Associate Planner at Wasco County, where Jeanette managed planning cases and contributed to land use policy updates. Jeanette also worked as a Community Development Consultant for The Center for Great Neighborhoods, an Economic Development Officer with SmartMoney, and a Public Health Extensionist with the Peace Corps. Jeanette holds a Master's in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati, an Urban Studies degree from Istanbul Technical University, and a Bachelor's in International Economics and Political Science from The Ohio State University.
