Rachel Hugman

Rachel Hugman currently serves as the Special Assistant to the President at the United States Institute of Peace since January 2023. Prior to this role, Rachel Hugman worked for the U.S. House of Representatives from March 2017 to January 2023 in various capacities, including Legislative Director and Senior Policy Advisor for Congressman Conor Lamb, focusing on a wide range of issues such as veterans affairs, defense, foreign affairs, and healthcare. Earlier experience includes positions as a Senior Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham and as an Assistant Analyst at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, where Rachel Hugman managed strategic research for political and corporate clients. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration in International Security Policy from Columbia University's SIPA and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Trinity University.
