Andrew J. Lofthouse, PhD, is an experienced aerospace engineer and educator currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor in Technical Writing at Ensign College since April 2024. With a significant tenure at the United States Air Force since October 2018 as a CFD Technical Expert, Andrew has also held various prominent positions within the Air Force, including Director of the High Performance Computing Research Center and Associate Professor of Aeronautics at the US Air Force Academy from October 2012 to June 2017. Andrew’s expertise in computational aerodynamics and high performance computing is further demonstrated through previous roles at Riverside Research and the Air Force Research Laboratory. Educational credentials include a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
