Andrew Lazar

Andrew Lazar is a highly accomplished Air Force officer with over 22 years of service, specializing in special operations and aviation. Currently serving as the Senior Director at the Air Force Safety Center, Andrew oversees the Chief of Weapons Safety. Previously held key leadership roles, such as Deputy Group Commander responsible for technical training and operations for over 1,300 personnel, and Squadron Commander leading aircrew training. Andrew possesses extensive flying experience with more than 3,800 hours and expertise in various aircraft types. Additionally, experience includes roles such as Director of Weapons and Command & Control Test Programs and Director of Current Operations and Emergency Response at Special Operations Command Europe. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas, and a Graduate Certificate in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
