Joseph Kang

Principal Researcher Mathematical Statistician at U.S. Census Bureau

Joseph Kang has an extensive work history with experience in various roles. Joseph started their career as a Bible teacher in 2000. Joseph then joined Northwestern University in 2008 as an Assistant Professor, a role they held until 2015. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Statistics Team Lead, where they managed a team and led research projects. Since 2019, Joseph has been working at the U.S. Census Bureau, initially as a Senior Researcher and currently as a Principal Researcher Mathematical Statistician.

Joseph Kang obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Statistics from Penn State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007.
