Melinda Hartz

Melinda Hartz is an experienced chemical engineer currently serving as an Incident Investigator at the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board since February 2022. Prior to this role, Melinda held multiple engineering positions at Kraton Polymers from March 2011 to December 2015, including Process Engineer and Production Engineer, where responsibilities included significant project work on a G2 unit and customer communications. Melinda's career began at DuPont, where from May 1995 to March 2011, Melinda progressed through various roles such as HTN Restart Co-Lead, Area Supervisor for Teflon PFA, and Process Engineer in various Teflon units. Melinda's foundational education includes a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a study abroad program at UCL.
