U.S. Coast Guard
Aaron Ortenzio has extensive experience in the U.S. Coast Guard, starting in May 2000 and progressing to the role of Commanding Officer at Air Station Miami. Prior positions include Executive Officer at US Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento from July 2019 to June 2022, and Chief of the Fixed Wing and Sensors Division at the USCG Office of Aviation Forces from August 2008 to June 2019. Aaron also served as a Cospas Sarsat Liaison Officer and Flight Safety Officer while being a HC 144 Pilot. Earlier in the career, Aaron was a Falcon Jet Pilot at the Aviation Training Center Mobile from February 2004 to August 2008. Educationally, Aaron holds a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from the US Coast Guard Academy.
