Dale Gabel

Dale Gabel is a seasoned maritime consultant with extensive experience in the maritime sector, currently serving as a Maritime Consultant at Independent Maritime Consultancy since January 2013. Additionally, Dale Gabel holds a position as an Outside Director on the Board of Directors at Wärtsilä Defense, Inc. since January 2012 and has a distinguished background as a retired Rear Admiral from the U.S. Coast Guard, where service included roles such as District Commander and Assistant Commandant for Engineering and Logistics. Prior to independent consultancy work from 2010 to 2012, Dale Gabel participated as an Executive Fellow at the Institute for Defense & Business and led the American Society of Naval Engineers as President. Educational qualifications include multiple advanced degrees in engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
