Lawrence Tormey

Lawrence Tormey is a seasoned leader within the U.S. Coast Guard with extensive experience managing large teams and complex operations. Currently serving as the Director of the Sector Field Office Fort Macon, Tormey oversees 700 military personnel and an 80-person logistics and administrative team, coordinating critical services across North Carolina. Previous roles include directing a $12 billion shipbuilding program as the Test Program and Contract Lead, and managing the establishment of a military base post-hurricanes as Base Commander. With a solid foundation in asset management, including a $2 billion real property portfolio, Tormey has pioneered best practices in public sector asset management and infrastructure planning. Tormey holds an MBA and a Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
