Laura Gardy

Laura Gardy has extensive experience in legal roles within federal regulatory agencies, currently serving as Senior Attorney-Advisor at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) since July 2015. Gardy has held multiple positions at the CFTC, including Deputy Chief of Staff and Special Counsel to Chairman Rostin Behnam, and Associate Director in the Division of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight. Prior roles include Counsel at the U.S. Department of Treasury's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and Senior Counsel to Commissioner Scott D. O'Malia at the CFTC. Gardy's legal experience also encompasses roles in enforcement and administrative law, with early legal education from Washington and Lee University School of Law and Cornell University.
