Rachel Kaplan

Rachel Kaplan is an accomplished legal professional with extensive expertise in regulatory and transactional work in derivatives. Currently serving as Senior Special Counsel to the Director of the Division of Market Oversight at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission since April 2020, Rachel also holds the position of Chief Counsel within the same division. Prior to this, Rachel worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates as Counsel in derivatives from August 2010 to April 2020, and began her career as an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis from April 2006 to August 2010. Rachel Kaplan earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Boston University School of Law (2002-2005) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from Tufts University.
