Joanna Blatchly is an accomplished attorney-advisor at the U.S. Copyright Office since November 2019 and serves as an adjunct professor at the School of Public Affairs at American University. Previous experience includes roles as a production control specialist and assistant general counsel at the Library of Congress, as well as a law clerk in the Office of the General Counsel. Joanna has also contributed to education as the Integrated Curriculum Dean's Fellow and a student attorney in the Civil Advocacy Clinic at American University Washington College of Law. Additional professional background includes leadership positions in various organizations, such as after school team leader at The Literacy Lab and faculty advisor for Envision EMI. Joanna holds a JD from American University Washington College of Law and a BA in International Studies from American University School of International Service, including international academic experiences in Spain and South Korea.
