Notable achievements include leading Radio Frequency Spectrum Management for the Coast Guard's Rescue 21 Communications Program and managing spectrum resources for the Bureau of Land Management. Byron Perry's military experience as Strategic Spectrum Manager for the United States Marine Corps involved coordinating joint and tactical communications across multiple services.
