Andy Bater

Andy Bater is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in agriculture and engineering. Currently serving as a State Board Member for the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau since November 2021, Andy represents 54 county Farm Bureaus across Pennsylvania. As a State Committee Member for USDA since July 2022, responsibilities include overseeing farm programs and maintaining relations with industry stakeholders. Andy also operates as a Farmer at Fifth Estate Growers LLC since June 2007, selling switchgrass for various applications. Additional roles include Yoga Instructor at the YMCA of Centre County since September 2021 and former Owner of Biomass Connections LLC, an online agricultural portal. Previous experience includes significant engineering roles at Tribune Broadcasting, specifically as Director of RF Systems Engineering and Chief Engineer, overseeing large-scale projects and regulatory affairs. Andy holds degrees from the University at Buffalo and New York University.
