Cindy Axne

Cindy Axne is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public service and organizational management. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor for Rural Delivery, Engagement, and Prosperity at the USDA since June 2023, Cindy previously held the position of United States Congresswoman for Iowa's 3rd District from January 2019 to January 2023. With a strong background in consulting, Cindy was the Principal at Creation Agents and Axne Consulting Group, where the focus was on optimizing business operations and client growth strategies. Prior roles include Division Administrator at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Performance Results Administrator at the Iowa Department of Management, and Director of Training and Development at the Iowa Department of Administrative Services. Early career experience includes managing leadership development at the Chicago Tribune Media Group. Cindy holds an MBA from Northwestern University, a Certified Public Manager credential in Political Science from Drake University, and a BA in Journalism from the University of Iowa.
