Holly Johnson Shiralipour

District Conservationist at U.S. Department of Agriculture

Holly Johnson Shiralipour has extensive experience in conservation, environmental education, and waste management. Currently serving as a District Conservationist for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service since October 2009, Holly is responsible for providing technical assistance and managing financial cost share programs for agricultural producers in San Bernardino County. Previously, Holly managed the Brooker Creek Preserve Environmental Education Center in Pinellas County, Florida, attracting a diverse range of visitors. Academic roles include serving as the statewide builder and developer coordinator for the Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Program at the University of Florida, where Holly focused on promoting Florida-friendly landscaping, as well as a Waste Reduction and Management Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Holly holds a Ph.D. candidacy in Environmental Education and Communication from the University of Florida, a Master’s in Landscape Architecture Planning and Design from Utah State University, and a Bachelor’s in Scientific Land Management from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
