Katya Naphtali

Katya Naphtali is a dedicated Plant Protection Technician at USDA, focusing on the invasive Spotted Lanternfly in the Mid-Hudson Valley since July 2024. Previously, Katya served as a volunteer Exhibition Explainer at the American Museum of Natural History and as a Horticultural Stewardship Coordinator with North Brooklyn Parks Alliance through the Americorps program. Katya's experience also includes roles in urban farming, admissions support at Kenyon College, and various internships in research and ecology, highlighting a strong background in biology and environmental science. With a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Kenyon College and additional studies in sustainability, Katya possesses extensive knowledge and practical skills in entomology, horticulture, and community engagement.
