Michael McGreal

National Chefs Move To Schools Taskforce Of The USDA at U.S. Department of Agriculture

Michael McGreal serves as a member of the USDA's Chefs Move to Schools Taskforce, a program established by First Lady Michelle Obama, and has been involved since November 2014. In addition to this role, Michael has been a consultant and trainer for childhood nutrition at the USDA's National Food Service Management Institute since January 2013, conducting training seminars for food service personnel nationwide. Michael is also the Central US Representative for the Chefs Move to Schools program under the American Culinary Federation, a member since 1996, and has contributed as an author and co-author for culinary textbooks with American Technical Publishers since 2006. In an academic capacity, Michael has been the Department Chair for Culinary Arts at Joliet Junior College since 1996. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Management from Robert Morris University, a Bachelor's in Organizational Management from the University of St. Francis, and a Chef Training Degree from Washburne Culinary Institute.
