Scott Vandegrift serves as the Chief Environmental Review and Permitting Officer at the USDA since July 2019. Prior to this role, Scott was a Senior Advisor for Infrastructure at the Council of Environmental Quality within the Executive Office of the President from March 2018 to August 2019. Scott's extensive experience in engineering and environmental management includes positions as a Legislative Affairs Specialist, Supervisory Civil Engineer, and National Facilities Program Manager at the U.S. Forest Service, as well as Deputy Chief of Maintenance at the National Park Service. Scott began a career in engineering with the US Army Corps of Engineers and served in the US Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer. Scott holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Engineering Technologies from Montana State University-Bozeman.
