Paola Aleman Ordaz

Paola Aleman Ordaz is an experienced International Trade Compliance Analyst at the U.S. Department of Commerce since October 2019. Previously, Paola worked as a Financial Analyst at PriceSmart, utilizing machine learning algorithms for sales forecasting models. As a Consulting Team Member at UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy, Paola contributed to fundraising strategies for the non-profit Clear Blue Sea. Paola's earlier experiences include a Trade Intelligence Fellowship at the CNA in Brazil, focus group facilitation for Santa Cruz Community Ventures, and a role as a Site Coordinator and Quality Reviewer for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Paola holds a Master's in International Affairs from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's in Global Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, supplemented by a semester exchange at The University of Hong Kong.
