Jackye Zimmermann

Director, Editorial Policy, Publishing And Student Art Exhibit; Founder, Conversations About Leading at U.S. Department of Education

Jackye Zimmermann has had a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jackye began their career as the Director of Communications at Strategic Planning Associates from 1984 to 1990. Jackye then joined the DC Youth Orchestra Program as a board member and volunteer from 1995 to 2003. In 2002, Jackye started working at the U.S. Department of Education, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Editorial Policy, Publishing and Student Art Exhibit, and founder of Conversations About Leading. Jackye also worked at the Office of Communications and Outreach within the U.S. Department of Education as the Director of Editorial Policy, Publications, Printing, and Student Art Exhibit Program.

Jackye Zimmermann completed a doctoral program in French literature at Cornell University from 1978 to 1982. Prior to that, they earned an M.A. in French from Middlebury College from 1970 to 1971. Jackye also holds a bachelor's degree in French from Le Moyne College.
