Vanessa Tesoriero

Vanessa Tesoriero is an experienced professional in the field of education and analytics, currently serving as the Director of the Office of Enterprise Data Analytics and Risk Management at the U.S. Department of Education since March 2014. Previously, Vanessa held the role of Chief of Staff in the Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development and worked as an Analyst focusing on various educational initiatives such as Special Education and Rehabilitation. From 2011 to 2014, Vanessa served as the Director of Congressional Affairs for the U.S. Department of Education and was a Program Manager for the Small Business Innovation Research Program at Gallaudet University. Earlier career roles include teaching positions at the New York City Department of Education and St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf, as well as research roles at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Vanessa holds a Master of Arts and a Master of Education from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh, and participated in further education at The Johns Hopkins University and the Institute for Educational Leadership.
