Andrea Solan

Andrea Solan is an experienced legal professional currently serving as a Writer/Editor at the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs since December 2024. Prior to this role, Andrea held various positions at the Maryland State Bar Association from January 2020 to November 2024, including Director of Publications & Content, Manager of Legal Content, and Managing Editor of the Maryland Bar Journal, as well as working as a Legal Content Attorney. Between January 2012 and August 2019, Andrea practiced as an Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Anne Kelly Laynor and was self-employed as a Legal Editor from January 2003 to November 2011. Andrea also gained experience as a Legal Editor with the American Health Lawyers Association from 1999 to 2002. Educationally, Andrea earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Delaware.
