Gerri Ratliff is the current Deputy Director of Community Relations Service at the Department of Justice. Prior to their current position, Ratliff served as the Deputy Division Director of Human Resource Management at the National Science Foundation from August 2012 to January 2017. From January 2010 to August 2012, Ratliff was the Chief of the Office of Transformation Coordination at US Citizenship and Immigration Services, DHS. Gerri also served as the Deputy Associate Director of NSRV Directorate at US Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security from January 2008 to December 2010. Ratliff began their career with the Immigration and Naturalization Service/US Citizenship and Immigration Services in January 1997, where they held various positions over the next 11 years, including acting chief of the Office of Congressional Relations. In January 1994, Ratliff became Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General at the US Department of Justice, a position they held until December 1997.
Gerri Ratliff received their Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, their J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, and their Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Speech Communications from UNC-Chapel Hill.
