Sam Hobbs

Sam Hobbs is currently serving as a Trial Attorney in the Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch, and Corporation Financial Litigation Section at the U.S. Department of Justice since October 2023. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate at Johnston, Allison & Hord, P.A. from September 2021 to August 2023 and at Susman Godfrey LLP from October 2020 to June 2021. Hobbs also completed clerkships at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, as well as multiple summer associate positions at prominent law firms. An investigative analyst at the New York County District Attorney's Office from 2013 to 2015, Hobbs holds a Juris Doctor degree from Duke University School of Law (2018) and a Bachelor of Arts in History with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2013).
