Meghan Steinhaus

Meghan Steinhaus is a highly experienced professional in operations research and data science, currently serving as a Senior Operations Research Analyst at the U.S. Department of the Treasury since May 2024. Prior to this role, Meghan worked as a Data Scientist at Sonalysts, Inc. and as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Confluent. Meghan’s extensive academic career at the US Coast Guard Academy spanned over a decade, where positions included Mathematics Department Head, Assistant Dean of Academics, and various roles within the Permanent Commissioned Teaching Staff. Meghan also held key roles at the U.S. Coast Guard, including Chief of the Modeling & Simulation Branch. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Industrial & Systems Engineering with a focus on Operations Research, an MBA, and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, along with a degree in Operations Research & Computer Analysis from the US Coast Guard Academy.
