Ryan Connelly currently serves as the Deputy Director in the Office of International Financial Markets at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, managing international financial work related to the G20, G7, and regulatory dialogues. Previously, Ryan was a PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins University SAIS, specializing in political economy with a focus on financial crises and unconventional central bank monetary policies during the global financial crisis. As Chief Economist at FrontierView, Ryan provided economic insights for multinational companies, while earlier experience includes a role as a Credit Desk Analyst at Morgan Stanley and internships at CNN and the Council for a Community of Democracies. Ryan holds a Ph.D. in International Political Economy and a Master’s Degree in International Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS, as well as a B.A. in International Relations from The George Washington University.
