Erica Hammond

Erica Hammond is an accomplished Radiology Clinical Manager and Chief Technologist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since May 2020, bringing over 26 years of experience in military healthcare. Prior experience includes serving as Medical Group Superintendent and Senior Medical Advisor in the U.S. Air Force, where Erica was part of the executive team, developing strategies and advising on training, staffing, and policy for clinic operations. With a strong background in managing large radiology departments, Erica oversaw various specialties such as Mammography, Ultrasound, CatScan, and MRI, and contributed significantly to career development and training for a 700-member radiology workforce. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Wilmington University, a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences from Adventist University of Health Sciences, and two Associate's degrees from the Community College of the Air Force in Applied Science for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Radiologic Technology.
