Monica Sakasegawa

Monica Sakasegawa, Pharm.D., CPHIMS, serves as a Clinical Informatics Pharmacy Specialist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on data analytics for value-based care and medication safety, while also acting as a subject matter expert for clinical workflows and electronic medical record integration. Prior experience includes participation on the BPS Pharmacoinformatics Job Analysis Panel, where Monica contributed to the development of certification standards, and a role as Clinical Pharmacy Informatics Specialist at Palomar Health, collaborating on quality management and formulary updates. Previous positions include subject matter expert at Cerner Healthcare and Clinical Informatics Pharmacist for San Diego County Health and Human Services, as well as supporting COVID-19 vaccination and testing efforts at San Diego State University.
