Stuart Hoffman is a seasoned professional in the field of brain injury and health research, currently serving as the Director of the TBI and Brain Health Actively Managed Portfolio at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since October 2024. Hoffman has held multiple significant roles within the Veterans Affairs, including Senior Health Science Officer for Traumatic Brain Injury & Brain Health and Co-Chair of both the DoD/VA GSC LIMBIC consortium and the DoD/VA Government Steering Committee for Chronic Effects of Neurotrauma. With a rich background in managing brain health and injury research portfolios, Hoffman has represented the Office of Research and Development at numerous high-level meetings and briefings. Hoffman earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Rutgers University and a BA in Biology from Clark University, with earlier academic work at Taylor Allderdice High School.
