Yaritza Garcia

Yaritza Garcia is a highly experienced professional in environmental and safety management, currently serving as the Chief of Environmental Program Section at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since January 2021. With a background that includes roles such as Environmental Cleanup Program Manager and Fire and Life Safety Program Manager at the Federal Aviation Administration, Yaritza has developed expertise in project management, safety engineering, and environmental compliance. Previous positions include Project and Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Transportation, Safety Engineer at the Architect of the Capitol, and Occupational Safety Specialist at IPR Pharmaceuticals Inc., among others. Yaritza holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and a Master's degree in Environmental Protection Management from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.
