Joanna Sawicka is currently a Research Analyst at U.S. Global Investors. Prior to this, they worked as a Fund Accountant at Soros Fund Management from March 2000 to June 2006. There, they were responsible for the daily administration of the Convertible Arbitrage and Distressed Debt Trading desks, managing approximately 1 billion in assets. This included equities, debt instruments (bonds and syndicated loans), swaps, futures and forwards. Joanna was also responsible for Interest Rate Swaps, Credit Default Swaps, Muni Swaps and Equity Swaps in both portfolios, including resets, partial unwinds, assignments, terminations, settlement and payments. In addition, they were responsible for handling Corporate Actions for Convertible Bonds, producing daily/monthly cash and position reconciliations of custodian bank statements to internal system (General Ledger), and verifying and confirming Profit and Loss.

Joanna Sawicka studied finance as an undergraduate at Bernard M. Baruch College. After graduation, they began their career in the financial industry.
