Karen Burghart

Karen Burghart has extensive experience in leadership and development roles across various organizations focused on global affairs and community service. Currently serving on the Colorado Advisory Committee for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition since March 2024, Karen has been the Executive Director of the Colorado Springs World Affairs Council since October 2015, facilitating education and engagement on international relations. Previous positions include Board Member and Secretary for the World Affairs Councils of America, Fund Development Manager for the Girl Scouts of Colorado, and President/CEO of the Colorado Springs World Affairs Council. Karen's early career included a role as Development Officer for the Alzheimer's Association, Colorado Chapter, and as a Paralegal at Holland & Hart LLP. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University and participation in Leadership Pikes Peak.
