Sean McMahon

Vice President, Product Management at USGBC/GBCI/Arc

Sean McMahon has a diverse work experience in the field of sustainability and environmental research. Sean started their career as a Research Intern at Conservation International in 2006. In 2007, they interned at the National Geographic Society's Center for Sustainable Destinations.

In 2008, they joined the U.S. Green Building Council as an Associate and later worked as a Research Coordinator. From 2011 to 2017, they served as a Research Project Manager, overseeing various research initiatives. In 2017, they took on the role of Director, Strategic Partnerships, and in 2019, they became the Vice President of Product Management at the U.S. Green Building Council.

Sean McMahon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Syracuse University. Later, they pursued two Master's degrees simultaneously: one in International Affairs from American University, and the other in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development from the University for Peace (UPEACE) - UN Mandated.
