Thomas Kalchik

Thomas Kalchik is a seasoned professional in sustainability and operations management, currently serving as a Senior Facilities & Sustainability Associate at the U.S. Green Building Council since June 2023. As the Co-Founder and Sustainability Operations Manager of Casa Galú Boutique Hotel, Kalchik has helped create a unique luxury accommodation that preserves the natural environment in Capurganá. Previous experience includes roles such as Senior Curriculum Development Manager and Accounting Manager at RISE Travel Institute, where Kalchik contributed to sustainable and ethical travel education, and a Sales Development Representative position at Cloudbeds, enhancing hospitality operations. Past internships and positions at Solimar International, Interfirst, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Glen's Garden Market, University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, and Marriott International further demonstrate expertise in sustainable tourism, finance, and environmental practices. Kalchik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainability from Arizona State University.
