Vatsal Bhatt

Dr. Vatsal Bhatt, PhD, currently serves as Vice President - Communities at the U.S. Green Building Council since August 2014, and has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University since November 2013. With extensive experience in energy policy, Dr. Bhatt previously held the role of Senior Energy Policy Advisor at Brookhaven National Laboratory from March 2005 to June 2019, where significant achievements included securing over $4 million in grants for competitive projects addressing national energy technology R&D and climate change modeling. Educational credentials encompass a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from CEPT University, a Master's degree in Urban Planning - Housing and a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on Environmental Planning from the University at Albany, culminating in a PhD in Urban Energy, Water and Climate Change from CEPT University.
