Peter C. Mason, D.O. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Peter C. began their career in 1983 as a Meteorologist in the US Navy. In 1991, they became the Medical Director at the Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant, where they directed employee safety programs and served as a medical review officer. In 1992, they started their own practice, Occupational Health Associates of Maine, where they provided occupational medical care, advised on safety and compliance programs, and consulted on workplace health hygiene. From 2007 to 2008, they served as the Medical Director at Concentra, managing a medical clinic and ensuring safe working environments. Since 2008, they have been the Medical Director at U.S. HealthWorks, directing clinic activities and providing occupational medicine and urgent care services to the community.
Peter C. Mason, D.O. obtained a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree in Medicine from the University of New England. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Zoology from the University of Maine and an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering, also from the University of Maine. Dr. Mason completed their residency in Family Practice at Waterville Osteopathic Hospital and their internship at Osteopathic Hospital of Maine. Peter C. also received Radiation Accidents Training from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TN. Dr. Mason holds various certifications, including American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Medical Acupuncture, Medical License from Maine Board Licensure in Medicine, Medical Review Officer from the Association of Medical Review Officers, and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine & Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine from the Osteopathic Certification Board.
