Amanda Shafer is a seasoned legislative professional with extensive experience in U.S. government and political organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Legislative Assistant for Congressman Mike Levin in the U.S. House of Representatives, Amanda has held various legislative roles since 2021. Previous experience includes founding the BridgeUSA Institute to connect students with impactful democracy reform opportunities, and significant roles at the California State Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, where Amanda engaged with constituents and conducted legislative research. An alumna of the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Amanda has also contributed to sustainability initiatives and advocated for policy reforms through internships and leadership positions.
