Douglas E. Haynes

Douglas E. Haynes has extensive experience in legislative and legal roles, currently serving as a Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives since August 2012. Haynes provides legal opinions on federal laws, conducts research, drafts official letters and statements, and assists with legislative casework and policy recommendations. Additionally, Haynes is a Trustee and Assistant General Counsel for the Phi Delta Theta Ohio Alpha House Corporation, overseeing fraternity house operations and supporting legal matters. Previous roles include legislative externships with the Virginia General Assembly and a student representative position at William & Mary Law School. Haynes holds a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Miami University.
