Aya Hashimoto is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and stakeholder relations. Currently serving as the Director of Programs for the TOMODACHI Initiative at the U.S.-Japan Council since March 2016, Aya is responsible for the oversight of numerous leadership development programs, including high-budget projects exceeding one million dollars. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Management Analyst for U.S. Army Japan from 2006 to March 2015, where Aya managed programs and developed policies to support command missions. Additionally, Aya worked as an Administrative and Protocol Specialist for the US Navy from 2005 to 2007, managing administrative affairs for the Commanding Officer and liaising with various governmental and military offices in Japan. Aya holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix, completed in 2015.
