Aaron Garten

Aaron Garten is a Data Scientist at the US Railroad Retirement Board, advising on the organization's data science program since May 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a paid intern and learning assistant at California State University - East Bay, where tutoring and peer mentoring in Physics, Computer Science, and Statistics were key responsibilities. Aaron served as Vice President of the CSUEB Data Science Club and worked as an Enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau. Earlier positions included Laboratory Technician - Electrical at Diablo Valley College, Field Service at Tima Power Systems, Field Technician at Piller Power Systems, and serving as a Nuclear Qualified Electrician's Mate Second Class in the US Navy. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics: Data Science, both from California State University - East Bay, along with an Associate of Science in Computer Science and an Associate's degree in Mathematics from Diablo Valley College.
