Process Controls Engineer at U.S. Silica

James Ratliff has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. James began their career in the US Army as a 25B Information Technology Specialist, where they gained expertise in configuring and installing Cisco and Foundry platforms. James also demonstrated leadership skills by leading large groups of soldiers and conducting training exercises. After their military service, James joined Michelin as an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician, troubleshooting and maintaining high voltage electrical equipment and wire and configuring new automation equipment. James then transitioned to U.S. Silica Company as a Process Controls Engineer, where they were responsible for managing all process and power infrastructure upgrades and overseeing site projects. James successfully decommissioned old PLC 5 infrastructure and migrated to Controllogix hardware. Overall, James has proven experience in process controls engineering, industrial electrical maintenance, and information technology.

James Ratliff completed 90 hours in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services at Southeastern Oklahoma State University from 1999-2003. Before that, they attended Wilson High School from 1995-1999, where they completed their high school education in General Education.
