Janet Starnes

Janet Starnes has a diverse work experience in accounting and payroll management. Currently, they are the Accounting Manager, Payroll at The Chickasaw Nation, where they oversee a team of payroll managers and supervisors. Previously, they served as the Treasurer at Elks Lodge and worked as an Accountant at U.S. Silica Company. Janet also has experience as a Senior Accountant at Acadia Healthcare, where they worked for two years. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Analyst at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, Finance, where they handled payroll withholding tax payments and various tax-related tasks. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Accountant III and Fiscal Analyst at the State of Kansas and as a Staff Accountant at the University of Oklahoma.

Janet Starnes has a diverse education history. Janet began their academic journey in 1991 at Ottawa University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Janet successfully completed their degree in 1993. Following this, they attended the University of Central Oklahoma from 1993 to 1995, focusing on Business Education and earning a Certification in the field.

In 2007, Janet enrolled in Friends University to further enhance their knowledge and skills in Business Administration and Management. After completing their studies, they obtained an MBA degree on October 1, 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Janet has pursued professional certifications. Janet holds a CPP certification from the American Payroll Association, indicating their expertise in the payroll field. Currently, they are actively working towards obtaining the APA Certification.
